I have always enjoyed getting involved in the planning and organizing of events, whether it was for school, a friend, or work. Starting an event management company had always been a dream of mine, but I thought I’d have to work for others first and it’d be years before I got the chance. When life brought me to Havre, I realized my dream could be a reality a lot sooner than I thought.
I graduated in 2010 from Carroll College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Communications, and Public Relations with concentrations in Marketing and Business. I moved to Havre in the fall of 2010 when I was hired as an Admissions Specialist at Montana State University-Northern. Though I enjoyed the travel and getting to plan a variety of events and visits, I decided to resign to spend more time with my little one after he was born. The decision to resign from a full-time position opened the door to the possibility of starting my own business so I could ease into as my family was growing.
I got the business started and underway in 2012. Owning the business has allowed me to adjust my schedule to send the optimal amount of time with my growing family while they are still little. I work from home, allowing me to spend as much time as possible with my kids as they are starting school. I get to watch them play while I work, and they get to accompany me on occasion, exposing them to a variety of learning experiences.
In August of 2014, I was contracted to be the Events Manager for Havre Historic Properties, which at the time only included Havre Historic Post Office but has grown to include The 305. Managing venues allows me to be hired as just a venue manager and watching events unfold when my extended services aren’t contracted. It affords me the unique position of managing a venue but also being able to be contracted for any event at any venue.
I treat every event with the care and attention I would expect my events to be treated with. I listen to you and strive to ensure your event is exactly what you want it to be. I enjoy living in the small community of Havre because so many believe that family does come first and enjoy being treated as though their event was being coordinated by a friend. No matter what type of involvement you are looking for, I hope to provide you with what you need to make your day special and unique.
